(May 25) Former Plover Youth Pastor Facing New Charges Of Child Sexual Assault | Plover, WI

The former Plover youth pastor charged with child sexual assault is now facing new charges since being released on bond in April.

Jordan Huffman, 52, is now facing new charges of child sexual assault of a person under the age of 13, child enticement, and bail jumping. He was previously charged with eight counts including first-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, and contributing to the delinquency of a child. A Winnebago County judge has set his bond at $1,000,000.

Huffman was arrested last August in Florida and was extradited to Wisconsin and remained in custody until September. He was released on a $100,000 cash bond and according to online court records, Huffman was being monitored by GPS or electronic monitoring.

(May 25) Lawsuit Alleges Boston’s Cardinal O’Malley Failed To Prevent Abuse At Catholic High School | Arlington, MA

Three former students at a Massachusetts Catholic high school have filed a lawsuit against Boston’s Cardinal Sean O’Malley and other Church leaders because of alleged abuse committed by the school’s vice principal.

Attorney Mitchell Garabedian on Monday announced that he had filed a May 5 lawsuit in Suffolk County Superior Court on behalf of three former students at Arlington Catholic High School in the northwest Boston suburb of Arlington.

(May 24) Trial Date Set In June For Father James Jackson’s Child Pornography Case | Providence, RI

The federal child pornography case against Providence, Rhode Island, priest Father James Jackson is scheduled to begin on June 20.

The trial date marks almost two years since Jackson, a member of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), was arrested by the Rhode Island state police at his parish, shocking many of his current and former parishioners, including some of the traditionalist community online.

The ex-pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Providence is facing federal charges of receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

(May 24) Gainesville Pastor Facing Child Abuse, Sex Assault Charges After SWAT Raid | Gainesville, FL

The founder and pastor of a Gainesville church was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with aggravated child abuse, according to an Alachua County Sheriff's Office.

Court records show that the church leader has four open cases pending against him and that he faces at least 11 counts of sexual assault. It's unclear how many victims there may be.

(May 23) Sex Abuse In Catholic Church: Over 1,900 Minors Abused In Illinois, State Says | IL

A new report by the attorney general of Illinois covering decades names more than 450 credibly accused sexual abusers, including priests and lay religious brothers.

More than 450 credibly accused child sex abusers have ministered in the Catholic Church in Illinois over almost seven decades, the office of the state’s attorney general, Kwame Raoul, said Tuesday in an investigative report. That is more than four times the number that the church had publicly disclosed before 2018, when the state began its investigation.
