(November 08) 1 Sexual Abuse Allegation Against Mike Bickle Has 'Some Credibility,' Ministry Says | Grandview, Missouri

A week after announcing that International House of Prayer Kansas City founder Mike Bickle is being investigated for “serious allegations including sexual immorality” made against him by multiple women, leaders of the organization said one decades-old claim has “some credibility” so far, but they have hired an outside law firm to help them make sense of the situation.

“Regarding the allegations so far, there has been one allegation from 26 years ago that has some credibility. There are other allegations that have been more difficult to ascertain due in part to the fact that they are either anonymous or represented by third parties,” Stuart Greaves, executive director of IHOPKC, read from a statement to congregants at Forerunner Church in Grandview, Missouri, on Sunday.

(November 07) Caldwell County Pastor Facing Child Sex Abuse Charges | Caldwell County, N.C.

A Caldwell County pastor was arrested last week on multiple child sex abuse charges, deputies said. 

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office served two search warrants at the home of Ashley James Crouse, 51, on Friday, Nov. 3, after receiving a tip Crouse was accused of having inappropriate contact with a minor. Crouse is a pastor at New Vision Baptist Church in Granite Falls, North Carolina, according to the sheriff's office. 

Detectives collected items from Crouse's home and the church that were sent to a lab for forensic examinations for material depicting child exploitation. Crouse is currently charged with four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was given a $1 million bond on those charges.

(November 07) The First Academy, First Baptist Church Of Orlando Sued After Teacher Accused Of Abusing Student | Orlando, FL.

A lawsuit filed Friday, Nov. 3, accuses the First Baptist Church of Orlando of failing to protect a student at the church’s private school, The First Academy.

According to the suit, between 2014 and 2016, the female student was sexually abused and groomed by a teacher, Harriet Sugg. The lawsuit alleges leaders at the church and school knew about the relationship but did not take steps to stop it. The student was 15 years old when the abuse began, the lawsuit states.

Sugg, 54, on Oct. 11 was charged with five counts of sexual activity with a minor. She was released from the Orange County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

(November 07) Former Olive Branch Pastor/Teacher Charged With Child Exploitation | Olive Branch, MS

A pastor and teacher in Olive Branch has been arrested for Child Exploitation.

According to a booking photo, 30-year-old Kyle Hilleary was arrested by the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office on November 7 and booked into the jail at 10:47 a.m.

His bond was set at $250,000 and he bonded out.

The AG’s office is handling this case with the help of the Olive Branch Police Department and the Desoto County Sheriff’s Office.

Hilleary was listed as a pastor on the Cedar View Baptist Church’s website. He has since been removed from the website following the arrest.
