(September 21) Garden City Man Charged In Theft Of Historic Cass County Church Bell | Harrisonville, Mo

Cass County prosecutors have charged a man in connection to the theft of a historic church bell in Gunn City, Missouri.

Christopher Longacre, 36, of Garden City, has been charged with felony theft and possession of a controlled substance as well as resisting arrest.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies located parts of the historic bell while serving a warrant to Longacre on Wednesday.

(September 20) Deacon Pleads Guilty In Theft Of Austintown Church Funds | Youngstown, OH

A former deacon at an Austintown church will be allowed to complete a theft diversion program after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of grand theft.

Gregory Pflug, 51, entered his plea in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to a fourth-degree felony charge of grand theft.

Under the terms of the program, Pflug must make restitution to Tabernacle Evangelical Church, where he was accused of stealing over $39,000 from the Deacon Fund.

(September 20) Tabernacle Theft From El Campo Catholic Church New Details | El Campo, TX

A few weeks ago, the tabernacle at St. Robert's Catholic church in El Campo was stolen.

since then, two suspects have been arrested, and authorities say two more suspects have been either directly or indirectly found to be involved in the theft or attempt to dispose of the tabernacle.

In the process of opening the tabernacle, it was pretty much destroyed without giving thought of what they were actually going to do with it.

(September 20) Fish Cooker Stolen From Carrollton Baptist Church | Carrollton, AL

Mayor Mickey Walker’s Cajun Fryer fish cooker was stolen from Carrollton Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The church members had cooked a meal for all the football players and athletes in Pickens County on what they call Kick-Off Sunday. The mayor left the fish cooker close to the Fellowship Hall near the parking lot to cool. He didn’t pick it up the next day because he was working.

The cameras in Carrollton caught a picture of the truck that picked up the cooker. After posting it on social media, it only took about an hour to apprehend the man. Ronald  Fidel Jones, age 63, from Pickensville, was arrested. He was driving a silver 2002 Dodge Ram two-door truck with a trailer behind it. Jones is out on bail.

(September18) Large Statue Of Virgin Mary Stolen From Fargo Church | Fargo, ND

A large statute of the Virgin Mary has been stolen from St. Mary's Cathedral in downtown Fargo.

The police department says the statue was stolen September 10th.

The church in the 600 block of 7th Street North.

The statue was taken from the rectory yard on the church grounds.

Surveillance footage shows a man driving up to the property at 2:00 in the morning and putting the statue in his vehicle before driving away.
