(January 19) Farmer Breaks Into Abuja Church, Steals Pulpit | Aruba

A Dei-Dei Grade I Area Court, Abuja on Wednesday sentenced a 25-year-old farmer, Salisu Sule to 12 months imprisonment for stealing church glass pulpit and wheelbarrow.

Sule of Yimi, Zuba, Abuja pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal trespass and theft and begged the court for leniency.

(January 19) Drunk Man Trying To Steal St. Michael Statue From Catholic Church Trips, Falls On Angel's Sword | Mexico

A drunken man was badly injured while trying to steal a statue of St. Michael the Archangel from a church in Mexico and was later arrested, according to a recent report.

Carlos Alonso, 32, allegedly went to Christ the King Parish of Monterrey last Saturday in an attempt to rob the church, according to a report by ACI Prensa, which was translated and adapted by Catholic News Agency.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a drive-by shooting at a church left a seven-year-old girl in a life-threatening condition. Officers were called to St Aloysius Church on Phoenix Road in Euston, central London, on Saturday where a memorial service was taking place for a young woman and her mother.

(January 13) Woman Sprays “Holy Water” On Gay Couple Outside Mexican Church | Mexico City

A woman in Mexico was caught on video spraying what appeared to be “holy water” on a gay couple who were hugging each other and showing affection outside a church.

The confrontation between the woman and the couple, filmed and shared by one of the men on TikTok — where it has amassed nearly 400,000 views — occurred in Toluca, located about 50 miles west of Mexico City, last weekend. The woman took offense to the two hugging on the steps outside the church, and accused the couple of spreading immorality to Mexico’s youth, spritzing them with a spray bottle filled with water.
