(April 14) Man Armed With Knife Stabbed Church Security Guard Before Being Shot By Police In Jamaica, Queens | NY

One person was injured in a police-involved shooting in Queens.

It all started around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, when a woman noticed a man with a knife acting erratically in front of First Presbyterian Church on 164th Street in Jamaica.

She told the church's security guard who engaged the suspect and was stabbed in the stomach.

(April 11) Shooting Personal For At Least Three Kentucky Baptist Churches | Louisville, KY

Monday morning’s bank shooting became personal for Andy Mikel, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Danville, Ky., in a short time.

One of the nine wounded in the shooting was Deana Eckert, the 57-year-old sister of Immanuel worship pastor Scott Hurst. Brother and sister grew up in Harrodsburg.

(April 11) Vandalia Woman Charged In Miamisburg Church Threats | Miamisburg. OH

A Vandalia woman is accused of making shooting threats against at least two churches in Miamisburg.

The pastor of The Journey Community Church at 40 S. Fifth St. reported around 11:20 a.m. April 1 that the church received the threats via the church’s Facebook messenger, according to a Miamisburg Police Department incident report.

(April 10) No Evidence Man Shot At Mississippi Church Reached For Gun | Laurel, MS

Evidence shows a reserve sheriff’s deputy who fatally shot a man at a Mississippi church punched the victim in the face and chased him into a parking lot before shooting him and kicking him in the head

However, WDAM-TV reports, there's no evidence that the victim started a physical fight or first reached for the gun of the reserve deputy, George Ryan Walters, according to testimony from Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Zachary Summers describing church security video.
