(April 20) Suspect Found Guilty Of Manslaughter In 2021 Phenix City Homicide | Russel County, AL

The Russell County Sheriff’s and District Attorney’s Office obtained a guilty verdict in the 2021 homicide of a Phenix City man.

On January 15, 2021, Samantha Elizabeth Malasig was charged with the murder of Christopher Roper, whose body was found behind the Uchee Pines Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Seale, Alabama.

Investigators say a single gunshot wound caused the victim’s death.

On April 19, Malasig was found guilty of manslaughter for Roper’s death.

(April 19) Threats Of ‘Shooting Spree’ At A Church Lead To Arrest | Williamsport

Police arrested a man they say made threats to go on a “shooting spree” at a church.

According to the Williamsport Bureau of Police, in July 2022, two people reported to officers that Justin Ceaser-Augustus, 28, was making threats to shoot them.

Police say the victims stated Ceaser-Augustus made threats to shoot the victims in the mouth and then go on a “shooting spree” at the Christ Community Worship Center in the 400 block of West Fourth Street.

(April 18) Guns, Weapons, And Ammo Lead To Arrest At Texarkana Church | AR

Yesterday morning April 18, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department received a phone call from a security member of the Faith Assembly of God located at 2001 Arkansas Boulevard about a man that was acting suspiciously while attending a revival service at the church.

Several members of the church say the man had been asking several personal questions about certain church members and staff. According to church members, this happened over several nights, and members of the church were not feeling very secure about the situation. The church requested that officers be at the service last night for safety measures. The man arrived around 7 PM and once inside the police walked to his vehicle and noticed in plain view an AR-style rifle, multiple 30-round magazines, a shotgun, a belt loaded with shotgun shells, knives, tourniquets, and other survival gear.

(April 14) Knife-Wielding Man Shot By NYPD Charged For Stabbing Church Guard |NY

The knife-wielding man who was shot by police minutes after he allegedly stabbed a Queens church security guard has been charged, police said Friday morning.

Richard Moncrieffe, 59, was shot when he ignored officers’ commands to drop the knife outside the First Presbyterian Church on 164th Street in Jamaica around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.

By Friday morning, he remained hospitalized but was charged with assault, menacing a police officer, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
