August 11) 2 Injured After Shooting On Highway Outside Of Panola County Church | TX

Two people are injured after a shooting in front of a Panola County church on Thursday morning.

According to Panola County Sheriff Cutter Clinton, county dispatch received several calls reporting a roadside disturbance on Highway 149 near the Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Riderville around 9:03 a.m. Witnesses reported a man shooting at a woman in the road.

“The Texas Department of Transportation was notified to be en route to direct traffic away from the incident, as it happened in the roadway,” Clinton said.

(August 09) Cleveland Congregation Silent After A Shooting, Stabbing At Their Church, Police Say | Cleveland, OH

Cleveland police have more questions than answers following a stabbing and shooting at a church Sunday.

Police said Sunday morning they received a shotspotter notification for four rounds shot at Sanctuary Baptist Church, located at 4004 E. 131st Street.

When they arrived, police said they saw no one flagging them down or running, but around 11:55 a.m. they received a call for a man with a gunshot wound at the church.

Police arrived at the church and a bystander pointed out a man down the street on Crennell Avenue, saying the man was shot.

(August 09) Missing Texas Pastor & Father Of 5 Found Dead After 6-Day Search

A bivocational pastor in south Texas who also worked for an oil company has been found dead in his company vehicle, authorities report. The news follows a six-day search for him in multiple counties.

Phillip Loveday, 47, of Corpus Christi, Tex., left his home on the morning of August 2 for Kinder Morgan, an oil and gas company where he worked, but never arrived. In addition to his oil industry work, Loveday has served as lead pastor of Faith Christian Center in nearby Freer since 2019.
