(September 19) Woman Charged With Murder After Calling Police From Church Parking Lot | Autryville, NC

A woman covered in blood called police from a church parking lot and told them she may have been responsible for a person's death.

It happened Sunday at Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy near Autryville, North Carolina.

The woman, identified as Samantha Haines, 31, is now behind bars charged with murder.

(September 19) ‘Distressed’ Woman Found At Sampson County Church Confessed To Murder, Sheriff Says | Roseboro, NC

A woman was arrested after she told deputies about her involvement in a homicide on Sunday, according to the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, deputies responded to a distress call at Mt. Carmel Church of God in Roseboro. The call was regarding a “distressed” woman who asked for help and expressed concerns that she may have been involved in a fatal accident.

After arriving, deputies engaged with the distressed woman, identified as 31-year-old Samantha Haines. Deputies said she was found in a red Ford Mustang in the church parking lot.

(September 19) Man Sentenced For Homicide Outside Church After Funeral In North City | St. Louis, MO

A Woodson Terrace man will spend 22 years in prison for killing a man after a funeral in North City.

Alan Williams, 41, pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree assault and second-degree murder on Friday. He shot and killed 20-year-old Darius Henderson, of Hazelwood, in a church parking lot in the 5500 block of Gilmore Ave. He also wounded Houston’s brother.

The shootings took place during a confrontation after the victims left a family friend’s funeral.

(September 18) Two Admit To Firing 28 Rounds At Murder Victim Outside Dc Church: Feds | Washington, DC

Two men have admitted to their roles in separate homicide cases that have been under investigation for years.

Joseph Brown, 33, pleaded guilty on Monday to second-degree murder while armed, while Rondell McLeod - already behind bars for a different case - pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed in connection to the death of 21-year-old Amari Jenkins, federal authorities announced on Monday.

The fatal shooting was reported on Aug. 18, 2015, in front of St. Luke's Catholic Church on East Capitol Street NE.
