(April 6) Howell Co. Man Charged With Vandalism Of Church | MO

According to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a report of property damage at the Junction Hill Pentecostal Church. The reporting caller stated he observed a male, who was known to him, damaging the windows of the church with a hammer.

During the investigation, deputies discovered a large rock had been thrown through the front glass doors, causing extensive damage.

(April 6) Help NYPD Identify Suspects In Church Vandalism Incident | New York, NY

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is requesting the public’s help in identifying three individuals connected to a criminal mischief incident at Holy Family Church, located at 175-20 74 Avenue. On Thursday, March 23, 2023, at around 10:04 PM, the suspects reportedly smashed and broke a concrete angel statue, causing an estimated $500 in property damage.

The Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, given the targeted nature of the property damage. The suspects are described as three males, approximately 15 to 17 years old. Surveillance video and photos depicting the male individuals have just been obtained from the incident location and are available at the DCPI.

(April 5) Church Members Frustrated With Recent Vandalism | Dothan, AL

Church members of Pentecostal Deliverance Faith Temple Church in downtown Dothan are upset to see their sacred place damaged once again.

“It hurts my heart so bad because this is where people come to praise and worship God,” Gwendolyn Bell said. “I just don’t see how someone can vandalize a place where we worship his name.”

Bell said one of her fellow church members went to the church to clean the inside of the building but ended up spending most of her time outside sweeping up broken glass from the kitchen window.

(April 4) Ohio 'White Lives Matter' Member Used Molotov Cocktails On Church In An Attempt To Stop Drag Shows, Authorities Say

An Ohio man who is a member of a White Lives Matter group told the FBI during an interview Friday he used Molotov cocktails on a church hoping to burn it down and stop a drag show, federal authorities allege.

Aimenn Penny, 20, of Alliance, was arrested last week and charged with one count of malicious use of explosive materials and one count of possessing a destructive device, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice.

(April 3) New York City Suspects Smash Angel Statue Taken From Church: Video

New York City Police are searching Monday for three young suspects captured on video smashing an angel statue outside a Catholic Church.

The incident happened at the Holy Family Church in the city’s Queens borough on March 23. Police have described the suspects as three males, approximately 15 to 17 years of age.

"People are hurt because this is their property and this is their church," Father Sean Suckiel told Fox5 NY following the incident.
