Fire Department officials have launched an investigation into a fire that caused approximately $200,000 worth of damage at a historic black church in Austin, Texas. 

$150,000 in structural damage and an additional $50,000 in property loss.

A 19-year-old Rusk County woman is facing up to seven and one- half years behind bars in connection with the theft of a pickup truck and thousands of dollars’ worth of property damage to a church and a pair of businesses on the northwestern outskirts of Rice Lake last Thursday, March 2, 2023, according to Barron County Circuit Court records.

(March 4) Much Of Montgomery Church Devastated By Fire | Montgomery, AL

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of a large fire at a Montgomery church.

Montgomery fire crews spent hours Thursday battling the fire at Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church on Highland Avenue. Montgomery Fire/Rescue said the cause is under investigation by the Bureau of Investigations.

(March 3) Video Leads To Arrest In Rape Of Teenage Girl Behind Georgia Church | Coweta County, GA

Coweta County investigators say a 17-year-old girl was raped behind a church. An 18-year-old Carrollton man has since been arrested in connection to the attack.

"She met this male on Snapchat, and he had called her all night saying that if she wouldn’t meet him, he was going to kill himself, and she would be to blame," said Sgt Toby Nix.

The threat to kill himself and blame her was enough for the 17-year-old to give into his demands for a meeting, according to investigators.
