DANVILLE — A Plainfield man has been arrested after allegedly punching a pastor in the face and assaulted an officer and K-9 in Danville. The overnight disturbance began with a 911 hang-up call to the Hendricks County Communications Center at about 9 p.m.

(August 31) Thieves Targeting Huntsville Church Mailboxes

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Huntsville Police Department says thieves have recently targeted multiple Huntsville churches. The pastor of Willowbrook Baptist Church says that the thieves have been stealing from church mailboxes on Saturdays when no one is in the building.

(August 31) Priest And Seminarians Robbed Amid Wave Of Church Violence In Mexico

 A priest and a group of seminarians were tied up inside a Catholic church on Monday amid a growing wave of violence and robberies in churches in Mexico City. At about 8am on Aug. 29, criminals entered the Saints of America parish on Mexico City’s south side and tied up the parish priest, Father Jóse Luis Pérez, and a group of seminarians who were enteringthe church at that time.

(August 29) Lewiston Man Charged In Burglaries At Church, Business, House In Wilton

WILTON — A Lewiston man is charged with stealing items valued at more than $17,000 from a church, a business and a house in late June, police Sgt. Ethan Kyes said Thursday. Christopher W. Veilleux, 34, admitted to the crimes, Kyes said.

(August 28) Gunshots Fired At Chesterfield Church During Funeral 

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — An investigation is underway after police said shots were fired during a funeral at a Chesterfield church Saturday afternoon. Off-duty officers were waiting in the New Life Outreach International Church parking lot to conduct a funeral escort when the incident happened around 12:20 p.m., according to Lt. David Sumner with Chesterfield Police said.

(August 27) Abortion Rights Sign Outside Lake View Church Damaged By Rock Throwers 

The sign read: “We support abortion on demand without apology.” Will Quier was working from home at his Lake View apartment when he heard the sound of women yelling and went to the window to check it out. “It was two ladies going off about the sign and how they disagree with it,” Quier said.

(August 27) Arrests Made In Peoria County Church Burglary Cases

PEORIA (25 News Now) - Three teens have been taken into custody in connection with two burglary cases at the Peoria Chinese Christian Church in Peoria. Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins says a 17-year-old juvenile from Peoria, and 18-year-old Yahya S. Suid of Peoria were arrested on Thursday in connection with the vandalism that happened on August 16th. The 17-year-old is in the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center for two counts of Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, and theft.

(August 26) Homeless Man Steals Car Three Days After Being Charged With Church Theft

A man who on Monday was handed a suspended sentence for looting a church donation box, was on Friday remanded in custody after allegedly stealing a car. Ihor Cardaci, a 31-year-old Ukrainian national, was escorted back to court after being tracked down as the suspect behind car theft reported to the Birkirkara police station on Thursday.

(August 26) Corona Couple Arrested On Suspicion Of Church Homicide

CORONA, CA — A Corona resident and his girlfriend suspected of killing a man and dumping his body outside a church were behind bars Friday. Javier Lopez Martinez, 44, and Marena Nicolas, 37, also of Corona, were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of murder for the alleged deadly attack on the victim, identified only as a man in his 30s, a week earlier.
